This Privacy Notice applies to the public website at boltgrowthacademy.com.

It does not automatically apply to BOLT mobile applications, games or other software products. Separate or additional privacy information may apply when those products are released.

Information we collect

The BOLT website is deliberately designed to collect very little personal information.

Information you provide by email

If you contact us by email, the information you provide may include:

  • your email address;
  • your organisation or role, if you voluntarily provide it;
  • the contents of your enquiry, support request or other communication;
  • attachments or other information you voluntarily supply.

The website currently does not provide public user accounts, payment facilities, newsletter registration or a contact-form database.

Technical information

When you visit the website, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information, including:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • the pages and resources requested;
  • timestamps;
  • the referring page, where available;
  • security and diagnostic information.

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location through the BOLT website.

At launch, we do not intend to use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising tracking.

Why we use personal information

Responding to enquiries, support requests and feedback

Our lawful basis is normally our legitimate interests in communicating with you and providing support. Where a communication directly relates to taking steps towards a contract at your request, the contractual lawful basis may also apply.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure, reliable and functioning correctly.

Our lawful basis is legal obligation, where applicable.

We do not currently use personal information collected through this website for targeted advertising.

Retention

Enquiries and support communications are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, unless longer is reasonably required for an ongoing matter, legal obligation, dispute or legal claim.

Technical and security records under BOLT’s control are kept only as long as reasonably necessary, and normally no longer than 12 months where under BOLT’s control.

Records of legal or data-protection requests and complaints are kept as long as reasonably necessary to comply and deal with the matter.

When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data-protection rights

Where applicable, you may have the right to:

  • rectification of inaccurate information;

If you believe a child has supplied information to us and you have concerns, please contact BOLT.

Individual BOLT apps and games will be assessed separately before release.
